Pat Buttress is a seasoned Public Affairs professional, who was most recently the north and north-central Orange County Public Affairs Region Manager for Southern California Edison (SCE). Her career includes 20 years as Governmental/Public Affairs Manager as well as 18 months on a fast-track Management Training Program. She also worked for six years in Planning (5 years planning electrical distribution systems, one year as Planning Manager); one year as Human Resources Development Manager; and four years as Manager of Consumer Affairs. Her geographical area of expertise includes central and northern Orange County as well as the County of Orange sphere of influence.
Pat has an MBA from California State University, Long Beach; a B.S. in Economic Development – Business Administration from University of Arizona and an A.A. in Liberal Arts from Stephens College. She has a strong background in business, electrical distribution planning, project management, utility project expediting, issues management, media, governmental affairs, community outreach, customer relations and community relations. Pat has successfully facilitated numerous win-win solutions regarding electrical distribution issues with city staff/elected officials including expediting projects for developers and local governments.
Ms. Buttress is the Chair of the Orange Chamber of Commerce (membership 500+ businesses); she is past Chair of the city of Orange Planning Commission; she hosted a city of Orange/Time-Warner cable TV program “Orange View” for 16 years; she has served on eight Chamber of Commerce Boards and has served on numerous non-profit organization boards throughout Orange County. She is an active member with Association of California Cities-OC; Building Industrial Association OC; OC Taxpayers Association; Community Foundation of Orange and the city of Orange Public Library Foundation.
